Motor-Presse Romania Appoints Radu Potolea as Managing Director
As of January 2007, Radu Potolea , 33, will join Motor-Presse Romania S.r.l. as Managing Director.
The management team of MP Romania will then consist of Mr. Potolea and Dr. Maike Schlegel as managing directors. Mr. Potolea will oversee the operating business of MP Romania in its core publishing markets. Dr. Jan Korecky who had taken an interims managing director role with MP Romania will withdraw from this task and be fully concentrating on his managing director position with MP Slovakia as prior to his interim assignment in Romania.
Prior to joining MP Romania, Mr. Potolea served as publishing director for Sanoma Hearst Romania (SHR) in Bucharest for more than four years being responsible for flagship brands like National Geographic, FHM, and Cosmopolitan. Previously, Mr. Potolea held responsible positions in Stein Martin Romania as well as in the Romanian Publishing Group (Edipresse).
Mr. Potolea, a native Romanian, holds a Masterâ€™s degree in journalism from the University of Sibiu. With 10 years of experience in various media companies, Mr. Potolea will now be responsible for transforming MP Romaniaâ€™s core business activities, generating continual growth and to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage.
Mr. Potolea will report directly to Motor-Presse International managing director for Eastern and Central Europe, Dr. Maike Schlegel.
