Romanian radio stations market shares

The public national radio stays the most popular in Romania, according to the latest Association for Radio Audience (ARA) figures, resulted from the autumn research (Sept. 4-Oct. 29, 2006). Radio 21 (Lagardere) takes the lead on the Bucharest market, while Europa FM (Lagardere), Kiss FM (SBS) and Pro FM (Sîrbu-MediaPro) are strong players on all the markets. The national market shares pie:

Ownership

  • Radio România Actualităţi: the first channel of the public radio, nationally broadcasting on AM an FM
  • Radio Cluj, Oltenia-Craiova, Iaşi: regional studios of the public radio.
  • Antena satelor: broadcast intended for the villages of the public radio.
  • Europa FM (Lagardere) broadcasts on a national license accorded for a network of FM stations.
  • Kiss FM (SBS), Radio 21 (Lagardere), Pro FM and Info Pro (Sîrbu/MediaPro), Magic FM, Guerilla (Vîntu), Romantic (Voiculescu), Deea: private networks of separated FM stations with separate licenses.

  6. I am trying to get hold of some Romanian radio data for a publication. Do you have a contact e-mail address for the ARA? I cannot find a website for them anywhere.
